A few of us here have purchased this including myself, i succumbed after discovering there is no Securom installed if you opt for the offline retail version.
Anyway ASDA are selling it for £27.71 if anyone cares.
Sprad: When i asked you if it was any good, why did you not elaborate that the game hardly works?
Don't get me wrong the game appears to be excellent but the PC version is a mess.
The game has been out a few days and I had to download a 300MB patch before i could see any servers. The game still does not work properly.
Connection problems abound. I have only connected to 3 servers and all of them had a ping of 100+ for everyone.
The interface is buggy with text overlaying itself (might be my resolution 2560x1600) and parts of the map screen disappeared at one point.
The game is good load of fun though, and the graphics are impressive. Just wish i could play the damn thing.

because the 300mb patch included the day 1 dlc map pack.
I have had only 1 instance of connection issues in which EA logged me out but only for a short period.
I have chosen to play on purely multiplay servers and have not had any ingame pings above 80 (loading screen sees ping rise sharply but no suprises there).
The server browser is slow and far from perfect (mine still does not return pings but a small issue).
The game is great fun and none of the bugs impact this greatly (some text does overlay on teh score board but its hardly the end of teh world)

From what i have heard/read its very hit and miss. There doesnt seem to be much logic in who is having issues with it and who isnt.

Hopefully it will stabilize, or they will give up and announce they will be no longer be making PC games any more

When this game does work i don't think its all that good.
Maps are puny compared to Battlefield 2 and much less interesting.
There is much less depth than BF2.
The knife kills are annoying and very Halo-esque. Especially when someone stabs you from behind and they glide past your cam view like there on roller skates. Very gay!
Netcode does not appear to be optimized for dedicated servers, it plays like its on Xbox with shots and kills registering half a second later.
I hate the weapon models - far to big and ugly.
I'll keep this installed for a couple more weeks to see if they smooth out the connection problems but i don't think this will be a keeper for me.
